Nick Fay

A photographer? A graphic designer? Irish? Nick is all three, but one thing he wasn't was a super star. He thought that appearing on Chat In The Hat would solve that delima. He was wrong.

Nick came to Canada searching for a better life than the one he left in Ireland. He immediately realised that life in Canada could be difficult. The other kids saw that he was "different" - and he had trouble fitting in. Summer was the worst for Nick, as he refused to allow anyone to see his legs which would confirm to everyone that he was really different than other Canadian youngsters.

He still isn't comfortable with the language, but he has been able to adapt over the past few years. It hasn't been easy, and he still has a long way to go, but Nick now knows there will be a day when he will be accepted by his peers.

Until that time, Nick see's Chat In The Hat as an opportunity to share his opinions, and maybe - just maybe - have the one or two listeners accept him for who he is.
