John Healey - talking seriously about a serious topic on Chat in the Hat podcast.

John Healey

John is an enigma. His language is... unusual. He never calls anyone by their given name, using either an acronym, or a nickname that he has created. John likes to drink... a lot.

Chat in the Hat and John seemed to be a natural fit. The sound of his voice is melodic - to himself - and the hosts were running low on guest chatters.

Colin first met John in a bar - and like most people - couldn't understand what he was saying. As years drifted by and their friendship grew, he began to understand the slang that John used - and appreciated it as part of a unique one person culture.

As John continues to evolve, taking a 9-5 job that has him working 7-10, changing "nights out at a bar" to "dinner parties" with friends, has a wife and child on the way - his speech remains stuck in the 1990s.

Now John has an opportunity to share his language with the world - and there is no doubt that soon everyone will be calling each other by the initials of their names.
